Group Description
Hi, my name is Albert Nordhoff and I lead a Men's Life Group on Thursday evenings. I have been a Christian for over 25 years and my wife, Teresa, and I have been members of NCC since 2015. My wife and I have been married for 33 years and have 2 adult children. Our son and daughter both currently live in Georgia. Our daughter and son-in-law just had their first child last year so we are now proud grandparents as well.
I have been attending men's groups for about 5 years but have just recently had a change in my job that allowed me the time to step in as a leader. The group that I lead is made up of men of different ages and backgrounds, some are newer in their faith and others have been Christians for years. Regardless, we are all still learning and growing in our faith together. We enjoy sharing experiences and laughter as we help each other to become the men that God has called us to be.

Group Description
I’m Jeff Lemarr. My wife, Heidi, and I have been married since 2006. With our two kids in tow, we moved to this area from Texas and have been at Northside for a couple of years.
I’m Rob Sharpe. My wife, Shaney, and I have been married for 32 years and are blessed with three kids. We’ve been at Northside for three years.
Rob and I met previously in a group and are excited to begin a new journey with both familiar and brand-new faces. We share a vision for facilitating a group that can share the hurts and joys life brings, centering ourselves in God‘s Word. Though “life is like a box of chocolates, you don’t know what you’re going to get”, our Savior prompts us to bear one another’s burdens, and fellowship together. So, whether the day brings something unexpectedly good or decidedly difficult, having a group of people around you to support you, laugh with, cry with, pray with, and rejoice and worship with is a blessing. We would love for you to join us as we grow. To join this group, just click the "Join Group" button, fill out the form, and the group leaders will followup soon.

Our Northside Men Group is composed of several men of varying ages. We meet every Tuesday morning in the West Auditorium from 6:30AM-7:30AM. Some of us are new to Northside, and some of us have been attending for years. The group has existed for five plus years now with people coming and going as needed. We meet for breakfast outside of Northside Men occasionally and have done family events in the past as well. Every week we get serious in the scriptures, but we also share a lot of laughs. We build each other up and hold each other accountable. There is a lot of wisdom to be shared at our table. Each week we look for one main way to apply that week's teaching. Prayer is a fundamental part of our group. We would like to see our table overflowing with new members to the point where we must split and create another group.

I am 58 years old, happily married for 35 years, and my husband and I have attended Northside for almost 25 years. We have two living children, Abigail, 26 and Jake, 24. We lost our first daughter, Paige, to SIDS in 1994 when she was 6 months old. We also have our fur-baby, Luna, a lovable blonde Labrador. I'm an avid walker, getting up early every morning to stretch my legs (with Luna) for about an hour or so - rain or shine. I work for PNC Bank, traveling between all of the local branches here in the area. I love to read, spend time with my family, and meet with my life group. I have been leading our Women's Life Group with another amazing woman, Marsha Dailey, for several years and our group has grown very close. We are a new group, made of couples and parents with kids of a variety of ages; but all are welcome! We all want to know Jesus personally and grow in His Word, together. We don't shy away from tough topics, awkward conversations, and big questions. We will always respond by asking "What does the Bible say?" We hope to continue growing together as we get messy with life. Come as you are! We are starting our studies by reading the whole Bible. Marty Tuck - Walking/Hiking

Any Season, Interest-Based
Group Description
Hi, my name is Marty and this is a walking interest-based life group. My hope for this group is to build and strengthen a community of individuals through consistency in exercise, companionship, helping others, and spiritual growth. I ask God for the opportunity for us to have God’s grace, hope, love, and faith pour forth from us daily to those around us.
I have attended services regularly at Northside for 10 years. I am a sports and recreation enthusiast but have become a little more sedentary in recent years. I am a single dad with an 11 year old daughter.
In the warmer months, we will walk regularly on Tuesday evenings at the Kevin Hammersmith Memorial Park (the park directly behind Northside) or other various locations. In the colder months, we will walk indoors at Northside or the Green Tree Mall. The location and distance/duration will depend on those in attendance for the day. In the past, most of our walks have been between 45 and 70 minutes. If there are more than 5 in attendance, then we will likely split into smaller groups for the walk. Along the way, we will discuss the weekly sermons and life in general, and include prayer.
Additionally, anyone in the group may propose extra walks at different dates and times for those interested. I have a group set up on the GroupMe app to plan our walks and to communicate with the walking group.
This group is open to those in all seasons of life (couples, singles, women, men, young and old, etc). Please make sure you are healthy for this type of exercise and take the necessary precautions for your well-being.
“There are plenty of difficult obstacles in your path. Don’t allow yourself to become one of them.” – quote from Ralph Marston

Group Description
I am Tim Montgomery and live in the Sellersburg area. I am currently a consultant that travels every week Monday through Friday. It is great going to church on Sunday, but I miss connecting with a small group. Obviously, travel makes it very difficult to attend a "traditional" small group. I am excited about starting a virtual small group for individuals in similar circumstances. I am looking forward to connecting with Men in similar circumstances. Sharing our unique trials given life on the road... how God can use us in our circumstances and grow our faith. I am married with three adult children, who are all living on their own (one married). Even though we will be a virtual group, I also look forward to finding some opportunities were we can connect in person.

Group Description
I am relatively new on staff, having been hired to be the Community Life Pastor here at Northside in May of 2021. I am married and have one daughter who just graduated college. I'm originally from Connecticut and my wife is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but we most recently arrived from Texas where I served as a Campus Pastor in Lubbock, TX. I'm a huge sports fan and love all things outdoors. We own an RV and enjoy going on camping adventures with friends and family. I am truly a people person and enjoy meeting with and talking to people of all ages, hearing their stories, and learning about what God is doing in their lives. I believe God has a unique plan and purpose for all of us and I love to help people step into their calling and live the full life that God has for each of us. Whether we are in the same stage of life or not, I'd love to have you join this group. I love groups that have different ages, backgrounds, and perspectives.

We have been in a life group for about 10 years, and we have decided to lead our own. It seems like the right next step for us. We have been at Northside for 13 years. We are the parents of 4 kids - ages ranging from 7 to 23. (Yeah...we know what you're thinking. Haha.) Steven is the proud owner of Wheatley Woodworking, where he gets to 'not' work for a living. He creates gorgeous pieces of custom furniture and loves every minute of it. Kristi is a 3rd grade teacher in Corydon, Indiana where she loves almost all of her minutes. We enjoy meeting new people and listening to life stories from all ages and perspectives. Spending time as a couple and sharing life experiences with others helps us connect to our faith. We are looking forward to what God has in store for our first time leading a life group. Group Description
My name is Tim Ferree. My wife and I have attended Northside for over 30 years. We raised 3 children at Northside who are now all on their own. Pam teaches 3rd grade at Christian Academy of Indiana. I recently quit teaching after 34 years and am now an International Trainer with the mission organization Discipleship Global. We train how to start Disciple Making Movements using simple, reproducible, biblically-based discipleship tools, most of which were put together by Curtis Sargeant. Millions have come to Christ through the application of these tools.
If you want to grow as a disciple, this group is for you! We use a Discovery Bible Study method 3 times a month to learn what the Bible teaches and encourage one another to obey its teachings. Every 4th week we learn basic lessons such as how to share the gospel in 3 minutes, how to share your testimony in 3 minutes, how to pray for an hour, how to read the Bible, how to have an accountability partner etc.. These tools are taught in a "hands on" fashion, so come ready to learn and participate.
