Our Vision

This ministry exists to connect children and students with disabilities to the life and community of Northside Christian Church. We believe each child should have an opportunity to hear the Gospel and feel the love of Christ. Our goal is to meet each child where they are and provide them with the services they need to understand the Gospel at their level.

FOR KIDS

SELF-CONTAINED CLASSROOM

During our Sunday services at 9:30 am and 11:30 am, we offer a classroom experience with worship, a video lesson, and interactive activities for children in 5th grade and younger. This environment is well-suited for children who are in a self-contained setting at school or therapy, do best in smaller, intimate groups, or struggle with transitions.

BUDDY PROGRAM

Our Buddy Program pairs children with special needs with a volunteer who offers one-on-one support, helping them navigate and engage in the Kidside environment. This support is available during all Kidside Services.

FOR STUDENTS

SELF-CONTAINED CLASSROOM

At our 9:30 am and 11:30 am Sunday services, we provide a special classroom experience for middle and high school students. They will join in main service worship, enjoy interactive games, watch a video lesson, and engage in activities designed to deepen their relationship with Christ. This setting is ideal for those who may find it difficult to fully engage in the main service with their family.

NORTHSIDE STUDENT MINISTRY

NSM meets every Sunday at 6:00 pm, where students with special needs join in worship, listen to a live teaching, and engage in games with their peers. Afterwards they will be a part of a small group, where they can discuss and participate in activities related to the teaching.

Questions?

After you submit the application, a member of our Inclusion Team will reach out to you. Please wait for their contact before attending for the first time to ensure they are fully prepared and able to support your child in the best way possible.
We have multiple sensory rooms to provide a safe and comforting environment for your child so they are able to regulate their sensory needs
By filling out the Intake Form, your child will receive the appropriate support. If your child doesn't require a regular buddy, a member of our Inclusion Team will periodically check on them throughout the service and provide assistance as needed. As your child’s needs change, we can update the support accordingly, due to their connection with the ministry.
