Rachel Hollensead is from Bozeman, Montana and moved to the metro area in 2000, and has attended Northside since 2008. She earned her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Montana State University and her Master of Arts degree in Instructional Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University. Before joining Northside's staff, Rachel taught elementary school in Kentucky for 18 years. Most likely, you have seen or talked with Rachel at our Grounded Cafe, where she has volunteered for almost 10 years. Rachel and her husband, Daniel, live in Sellersburg. They have four children: Will, Aubrey, Natalie, and Ava. Their household critters include dogs, cats, and snakes. Rachel loves her job because she gets to work in a Christ-centered environment where she can use her spiritual gifts to glorify God in the community where she lives. (Plus, she gets to use her collection of flair pens and Post-It notes.) Rachel loves to help unconnected people connect to Jesus and is always glad to pause and pray with others.
