Sam was born a Hoosier in Vincennes, Indiana and grew up in Washington, Indiana. He joined the staff in January of 2015.

Sam went to Visible Music College in Memphis, Tennessee and majored in Songwriting Composition and minored in Theology. All through high school, Sam led worship at his small hometown church. After college, he started a Christian Band and was part of music ministry from 2006-2016. Sam and his wife, Emily, have one daughter, Nora Jane. Sam loves his job because he gets to live out a life-long passion to use music, not only to worship Jesus, but also to help draw others into His presence. He also loves his job because the songs we worship with, here at Northside, remind him that our identities are only found when we experience the furious love of God.
